Privacy Policy

Left Field Apps is a small, independent app studio run by one person. This policy explains what information our apps collect, how it is used, and the choices you have. It applies to all Left Field Apps products and to this website, with an app-specific section for Duty below.

The short version

We collect only what an app needs to work. We show no ads, run no tracking or analytics SDKs, never sell your data, and never share it with third parties beyond the service providers that host the apps on our behalf.

Who we are

Left Field Apps is the publisher name for apps built by an individual developer. You can reach us at support@gatheredin.app.

Information we collect (all apps)

Account information — your name and email address, used to sign you in and identify you within an app.

Information you provide— content you enter to use an app’s features. The specific data depends on the app; each app collects no more than what you put into it.

Basic technical data — standard logs needed to operate and secure the service (for example, error reports). Our apps do not use advertising trackers or analytics SDKs.

Duty (family chore tracker)

Duty helps families track chores, points, and rewards. It collects:

Parent account— the parent’s email address and name, used to sign in and manage the family.

Kid profiles— kids’ first names, avatar colors, and PIN codes. These are chosen and entered by parents, and the PIN is used only so a kid can sign in within their own family. Kid PINs are verified server-side and are never sent to other devices.

Chore data — chores, points, rewards, and redemption history entered by the family.

Optional photos— if a family turns on photo proof for chores, those images are stored with the family’s data and are visible only to that family.

How information is stored

App data is stored in Supabase (a Postgres database) with row-level security. In Duty, each family’s data is visible only to signed-in members of that family — no other family or outside party can see it.

How we use information

We use your information only to provide the apps’ features. We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties except the service providers below or when required by law.

Service providers

Supabase — database, authentication, and storage for app data.

Vercel — application hosting and delivery.

These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

Children

Our family apps, including Duty, are used by families together. Kids’ profiles are created and managed by their parents, and we collect no more about a child than what the parent enters — a first name, an avatar color, a PIN, and chore activity. We never contact children, show them ads, or share their information.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. To delete a family and all of its data — or to ask for access to or correction of your information — email support@gatheredin.app and we’ll take care of it.

Security

Data is protected with access controls so people see only what belongs to them. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and limit access to it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the effective date above.
